Best breakfast in the area, have to try their raspberry oatmeal pancakes. Really good. Just to be sure to go on the no wait app to get on the list. Really busy on the weekends.

We got the Mediterranean Omelette and Stuffed French Toast. OMG it was amazing. The coffee was flavorful and the service was outstanding. The only down side... the wait. But absolutely worth it!

Great food, fun menu, delicious drinks, reasonable prices, excellent friendly service. Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch, but get there early because they are really popular and they do get busy by about 10.

I used to breathe Cafe Madison. I'd come here with my fiancee on Sunday mornings, wait an hour and a half to get seated, and wolf down the super breakfast. I was totally cool with this two to three hour ordeal because the food was incredible. That said, there was definitely a decline in quality over the years, both in food and service. It got to the point where it was just inconsistent. I switched over to Iron Gate about a year and a half ago and haven't looked back.

I love everything about this place! The food, the decor, the staff, even waiting for a table (you can check your place in line on Yelp).

I went here with my parents and fiancée and we had a great breakfast experience. I absolutely loved their Vegan Breakfast Sandwich- delicious! I never thought I would enjoy a breakfast sandwich so much! The staff is also phenomenal.

Awesome cafe for breakfast or lunch. Never been there for dinner. Great cocktails, hot toddys and full bar.

Loved the quick service even though we came in at 2:30pm and they were about to close at 3:00. We were treated very fast and politely. Great atmosphere and good value for the portions they give you.

Don't really need to say much about this place. It's a cool place. I, personally, don't really like the food here but every once and then I like to come here because it's such a nice place to be at.

Waitres very nice, beautiful customer service. However, I was talking to one of owners. The short one. I just wanted to talk to him about the ins and outs of running a restaurant. I asked him what day are not so busy, he responded during the week. I asked can I come in one day on a day not busy and talk to him about the up and down. He said not on working time, I get that, but you know when someone is lying and I guarantee if I was white he would not have dare said to me. And you want people to accept you and your life style but yet discriminate on others. Shaking my head on this one. Again the customer service in this establishment is awesome!!!

It was our first time at Madison Cafe.We both had omelets.My husband got the make your own with carmalized onion ,bacon and sausage and I had the Mediterranean but instead of feta I asked for swiss.It was absolutely delicious.Our server Sam was sweet and courteous.Large portions with side of home fries and your choice of bread.We will definitely go back.One thing make sure you are really hungry.

Super chill little pub cottage feel. Food was amazing. Honest salmon omelette was delicious. The bread is made in house and as thick as a mattress. Cold press coffee was better than cocaine. I just felt like the customer experience could’ve been a little better. Very low energy, staff might have been hung over

The food is amazing but the wait is ridiculous, they tell you 10-15min 2 or 3x and then you realize you've been waiting almost an hour! What's the point in downloading the app to make a reservation that they never seem to be able to honor?

Quick breakfast date with a vegetarian. This cafe has many vegan/vegetarian substitutes which made the experience very pleasant.

Both locations are fantastic. Good food, decent service, and the Madison location has grab n go breakfast sandos before 9. Use the app to check in ahead of time. Makes it super convenient.

Hands down my favorite breakfast spot in the entire capital district. Everything is just made better than anyplace else, the quality is just on point. They serve real maple syrup, and make their own bread. This place cares, and it shows in the food. Yes there is often a wait to be seated, the place is awesome afterall and what would you expect on a Sunday morning with a group of 8? Go to Denny's if you want immediate, but I'll be here waiting for the best breakfast money can buy.

Really fantastic vegan (and standard) breakfast options, good coffee. Kid friendly, reasonable wait time for our food, limited (but not impossible) parking. Only complaint is that the service could have been a touch more attentive- another server working the Sunday morning shift would have been a solid decision. Otherwise, it was a great breakfast/brunch.

Food was good quality and price but was cold. Not what I was hoping for at the highest rated breakfast joint in the Capital area. Will give it another try before I make my complete decision and revision.

Really good brunch. We went here for a late Sunday brunch and sat outside. Our server was really kind and fast, and was sure to refill our drinks every time. The food was also really good. I got the berry & Brie crepes and my boyfriend got the eggs Benedict. They were all amazing!

Service was great. I did not feel rushed even though I was poking along at my own pace and they were super busy. The food exceeded my expectations. They better not let that Hollandaise sauce recipe out. That was amazing. Eggs were SLIGHTLY overdone. Otherwise great meal.

I come here regularly with my friends and family and always have a great time. All of the food is great, and they have interesting weekly specials. Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but they let you know via text-message when the table is ready--so you can wander a little bit to tierra roasters or the pourhouse while you wait and it won't be an issue. Absolutely worth the wait and a favorite part of my weekends!

Always delicious, creative breakfast and lunch options. Morning cocktails are delicious and have a wide variety to choose from along with specials. I nearly always order the California omelet with gluten free toast, never disappoints, however my wife and I have been many time and tried a large portion of the menu and never had a bad meal. Smallish restaurant but the food comes fast and wait staff is fast but never pushy, if there is a wait, in our experience, it's been very short. When the weather permits the outdoor seating is nice.

I went to Cafe Madison on Mother's Day, and ordered from the brunch menu. The service was prompt, courteous and professional. The ambiance was wonderful. The place is a little small inside, but plenty of places for you to have an amazing breakfast or brunch. The place usually has a thirty or so minute wait, but does offer outside shaded seating. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The food was delicious! They have different weekend specials every weekend which is pretty interesting! You have a lot to choose from. The staff was friendly ! I loved the place !

This is a nice cozy place for breakfast. If you're looking for an omlete, pancakes or French toast made from their homemade bread then you picked the right place! They offer vegetarian and vegan options, draft beers and specialty cocktails. They fill up quick, but they don't keep you waiting. Overall a great place!

The place is beautiful, very cozy and the personnel extremely nice and caring. I ordered the California Omelette and an oatmeal pancake with berries. I have to admit I didn’t know the pancake was going to be so big and I couldn’t finish all the food. The omelette had caramelized onions and I didn’t love it; too sweet for my tooth, specially because I like salty for breakfast and my sweet should’ve come from the pancake only. Other than that, portions are as you can see more than enough and price is okay.

Me and my son love breakfast so we stopped here and they didnt disappoint. Pancakes were nice and fluffy with just enough choc chips, my son had french toast with whip cream which he loved. Definitely a place to check out if you love breakfast. They also had alcoholic beverages if you wish!

My first time ever even stopping to eat in Albany. My friend chose this place, even though she had never been, it was a great choice! We are all vegetarian and this cafe has an amazing vegan menu. I had a buffalo burger and my friend had french toast. They were both excellent. The atmosphere of the place is also really cool!

MLK holiday and most places were closed. So we decided to dine here. The wait was long but worth the wait. Which I am glad because my family member is not patient when waiting to eat. The hostess was great and I appreciated her ckg in with us periodically. We're will be back.
